BANANA CREAM PIE 1 pkg. Vanilla Pudding (the kind you cook, not instant) 1 tsp. gelatin 2 1/3 cups milk 1/2 cup whipping cream Dash of salt Bananas, sliced (1 to 2) Cooked 9" pie shell Combine Vanilla Pudding mix and gelatin in a saucepan. Gradually add milk. Blend well. Stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil. Cool, stirring occasionally. In a bowl, beat cream until thick and glossy. Fold into cooled filling mix. Place a small amount of the mixture in the bottom of the pie shell. Cover with sliced bananas. Cover with the remaining mixture. If desired, top with sweetened whipped cream. Chill until firm.
