MICKEY ROONEY'S LEMON GELATIN CAKE
 

1 lemon cake made from a deluxe lemon cake mix, baked in a 9x13" pan
1 pkg. lemon gelatin, to make 2 cups
1/4 to 1/2 cup finely grated lemon and orange peel
Powdered sugar


Prepare cake according to package directions and allow it to cool slightly. Prepare gelatin
according to package directions and allow it to cool to room temperature. It should be warm 
but not yet set.

Use a form to poke holes through the cake, all over the top. Pour the gelatin over the cake,
so it soaks into the holes. Sprinkle with peels and then powdered sugar.

Refrigerate until set.
